Structural Integration a.k.a. Rolfing
The structural integration (Rolfing from the Bahat method) is a methodology that sees the body as one interconnected system. Through this vision, the session is approached by treating specifically the fascia i.e. the inter-connective tissue. The fascia is like a second skin that covers every organ of our body and allows, as the 2nd structural system(after the bones), to generate the tensegrity(or tensional integrity) system of the body.
Trauma, stress, and unwanted physical outcomes store within the silicate(hard drive) structure - Fascia - of the body. By applying the right amount of pressure, we create heat which results in melting the “unwanted” memory to allow a smoother and wider flow of information through the body.
The treatment vary from soft touches to a more intensive approach in treating pathologies. Active participation through focus, awareness, and physical exercises will be necessary for getting the best results out of the session.
